A little while ago a fellow saxophonist posted a photo of his working space in the group “Saxophonists” on Facebook. It was a picture of reed chaos, something we are all too familiar with. I have been preparing my reeds a little differently for the last years and honestly say that what you see in the pictures is the truth. I play one reed on each instrument for a long while. The reeds don’t warp or change by any noticeable amount. I do not store reeds in any special way. Just leave them facing up to dry evenly.
