It's a Jazz Christmas!
The wonder & mystery of Christmas in 11 jazz portraits

With:

Prof. Wolfgang Köhler - Piano
David Beecroft - Tenor, Soprano Saxophones

This project began as a concert in the "Tertianum Residence" in Berlin, Germany. The original idea was simply to adapt traditional German folk and childrens music to a jazz/improvised setting. The original December Tertianum program was entitled "Christmas in Jazz" and was followed in April with "Spring time in Jazz". The concerts have since become a tradition and are repeated every year. The program concept has expanded a bit to include christmas music from my childhood as well.

Please visit the Phonector website to audition the music and buy the CD or selected tracks.

This is the original CD cover and I think is quite funny.
Sort of "Birdland at 4am" meets "A Charlie Brown Christmas"
