By restricting the number of note choices you make your line or phrase clearer. Alternating between the two triads creates interest to the listener because it creates tension and release. When you accentuate a triad that doesn't have the root of the chord in it or that the root of the triad is not the root of the chord, you create a feeling of poly modality. These examples
